I'm such a massive fan of Angela McAllister and I've had the joy of reading all of her beautiful 'World Full Of' anthologies, each an enchanting treasure in their own right.
In her newest anthology, featuring eight of Charles Dickens' best-loved tales, including Oliver Twist, The Old Curiosity Shop, Great Expectations and A Christmas Carol, McAllister has breathed a refreshing new life into these timeless classics. McAllister's charming reimagining’s are artfully adapted into short stories of about 15 pages per tale whilst still being expertly developed and detailed. I especially loved the 'Cast of Characters' section at the beginning of each story which includes a portrait and brief description of the stories cast.
Accompanied with beautiful illustrations by Jannicke Hansen and conveniently timed to coincide with the 150th anniversary of Charles Dickens' death in June 2020, this delightful anthology will no doubt be loved by many, young and old alike.
I can't wait to see which magical world McAllister explores next!
